January 12, 2022 (Prophetic Word)
“RECOMPENSE”
I was in prayer before the new year and I was asking the Lord for a word for this year. Something I could hold to. He dropped this word “recompense” in my spirit. I questioned it twice. I didn’t really understand what He was saying at first.
I then was reading later in the day and in my reading I came across this word twice in 2 different places. I knew the Lord was speaking very loudly to me in this. I began searching out the meaning of this word and the depths of it. I also realized it was twice He showed me and this is the year 22. (Side note: Pay even more attention when the Lord repeats something!)
RECOMPENSE
- make amends to (someone) for loss or harm suffered; compensate.
-compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made.

-restitution
The Lord also reminded me of a prophetic act that took place a few days prior to me praying for this word.
A good friend I was in a church service with came to me and had an item she was returning to me that I did not realize I had lost. She knew the Lord told her to grab it and bring it to me specifically, so she approached me and told me she had a pair of socks for me. I know this sounds funny, but just follow for a minute. She told me she had these socks since myself and a group of people had stayed in her place which had been at least a year ago or more. She knew we would be in service together and the Lord told her to grab the socks and return them to me. She had no idea these socks were mine personally. I just laughed out loud, but in my spirit I knew the Lord was speaking something in this act. As we continued to talk, the Lord gave her a word for me.
She said,
“The Lord says that He will return things to you this year, things you thought you had lost, even down to something as simple as a pair of socks!”
The Spirit of God hit me when she said that and I knew He was speaking to me.
(Recompense)
Now I share this because I do not believe this is just a word for me. I believe it is a word for the Church, for the Bride for this season! Get your HOPE and your FAITH up!!
I hear the Lord saying, He sees all you have given, He sees all you have sacrificed and laid down for His sake and for His purpose. He sees all the loss that has gripped you.
“Recompense is on its way, repayment is coming to those who felt like they have lost it all, restitution is coming in this hour and I am about to restore all that seemed to be lost in a moment! Things you thought were dead and gone I am about to restore. Dreams you thought had no hope I am about to revive in this hour. The enemy thought he had you but he overplayed his hand and now I am bringing recompense for all the loss,” says the Lord. I will restore joy for mourning, I will give beauty for ashes, I will give strength for fear.
This word is not for the faint of heart, this word is for those who have given with a pure heart and not looked for anything in return, they have given away everything to count the cost. They have had pure motives and a heart to see the Kingdom advanced. Taste and see that the Lord is good and that you will see the goodness of God in the land of the living.
I am reminded of David in the battle of Ziklag and how everything was stolen but David inquired of the Lord and he went and recovered all and then some! (1 Samuel 30)
“Instead of your [former] shame you will have a double portion; And instead of humiliation your people will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double [what they had forfeited]; Everlasting joy will be theirs.”
Isaiah 61:7 AMP
“Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”

I find it interesting that it was a pair of socks my friend brought me. Socks are a covering for your feet. Shod your feet with the peace of God and the readiness of the Gospel. Let us recover all that has been lost!
